Participate in the SNW Europe Hands-On Lab Program

Hands on Lab After introducing a very successful new format at SNW Europe in 2007, we look forward to offering the opportunity to participate in the 2008 program to a limited number of vendors.

Format

Each vendor will have their own sessions (4 throughout the whole conference) and delegates can register online or at the conference to participate. Each session, depending on the vendor, can hold up to 12 delegates. You provide your own material, we recommend the following themes but topics can be discussed individually.

Themes

Configuring IP SANs Hands-On Lab - This Lab guides students through the steps required to quickly setup and configure a fully featured Internet Protocol (IP) Storage Area Network (SAN). Upon completion, attendees will better understand IP based SAN strategies and current capabilities and usage of IP Storage solutions.

Establishing a Virtualized Storage Environment Hands-On Lab - This Lab guides students through the steps required to establish a virtualized storage environment. Upon completion, students will have a good basic understanding of how to set up and configure a block and file system virtualized storage environment with appropriate security.

Managing Storage Resources Hands-On Lab - This Lab guides students through the steps required to discover and manage storage. Upon completion, attendees will have a good basic understanding of how to use Storage Resource Management (SRM) applications in SAN environments to efficiently manage standards-enabled SAN resources.

Protecting and Securing Your Environment Hands-On Lab - This Lab focuses on data protection and storage security, and guides students through the steps required to assess their environment, minimize risk, and prepare for an audit. Upon completion, attendees will better understand the best practices involved in classifying information, encrypting data, securing remote environments, and meeting compliance requirements.

Additional topics will be considered, if you have any thoughts, please submit an outline and we will get in contact to discuss the possibilities.
